Wood Land Furniture Factory Catches FireAsma Anjum
Mardan: Wooden furniture of worth millions of rupees was reduced to ashes when Wood Land’s furniture factory in Rashakai Industrial Estate caught fire on November 20, 2014.
According to a news source, the fire broke out due to short circuit leading to the damage of furniture items in the factory. Fire fighters and Rescue 1122 officials rushed to the site to handle the situation, however, it took them six hour to control the fire.
No injuries and casualties had been reported, as there were no workers in the factory when it caught fire. The owner of Wood Land Furniture Mr Iftikhar Khan told reporters that he had to bear a loss of Rs 50 million due to that unfortunate incident.
